Supporting People
The Supporting People programme is a grant that is paid to some people to cover the costs of the support service they receive. This covers a whole range of support services including sheltered housing.
If you are getting housing benefit and in receipt of a support service then you should also get a Supporting People grant. Housing costs continue to be covered by housing benefit for those eligible persons.
If you are a Colchester Borough Homes sheltered housing tenant then speak to your Scheme Manager first, as he or she may be able to help with any questions you have. More detailed information is available from these web sites:
