MAD Days 2018

Our Make A Difference (MAD) Days are back for 2018!

Armed with a new list of locations to visit, the team are looking forward to getting out and making a difference to local communities across the borough during 2018.

What is a MAD Day?

MAD Days involve CBH staff, volunteers, residents and councillors visiting specific areas of the community to help make improvements and encourage pride in community spaces. On these days, a whole host of clean-up activities take place: general community clear-ups, tree and hedge trimming, bulb planting and gardening, fence repair and painting and rubbish clearance.

The 2018 Programme:

Thursday 26 April - Hazelton Road, Parson's Heath

Thursday 31 May - Windsor Close, Berechurch

Thursday 28 June - Coates Hutton Road, Shrub End

Thursday 26 July - Barn Hall Avenue, Old Heath

Thursday 30 August - Magnolia Fields, Greenstead

Thursday 27 September - Fiddler's Folly, Fordham Heath

Volunteers Needed!

No matter where you live, you can help out at any MAD Day throughout the year. We need all sorts of skills from painting, gardening and DIY through to good old-fashioned hard work and determination.  If you can spare a whole day to help, that would be great (the average MAD Day runs from 10am - 3pm) - however, if you can only spare an hour of your time we would be equally grateful.

Get in touch with us at if you'd like to get involved!
